In December 2023, Laurence Rimbeuf and Guillaume Pitron participated in a conference organized by Connecting Pro People, titled "Critical and Strategic Metals, What Future for the French Industry?"
This conference gathered several prominent speakers, including Benjamin Gallezot, Interministerial Delegate for Strategic Minerals and Metals Supply (DIAMMS), Pierre de Pasquale, Director of Standards at IRMA – Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance, and Raphaël Danino-Perraud, Associate Researcher at INSERM and IFRI and Commissioned Officer at the French Army Staff. Also present were Bruno Jacquemin, General Delegate of A3M, Alliance of Minerals, Minerals and Metals, and Louis Gallois, senior civil servant and former leader of major companies (Snecma, Aérospatiale, SNCF, and EADS), and former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PSA.
Laurence and Guillaume shared the challenges and stakes related to critical metals, highlighting their growing importance in the French industry, as well as the different industrial sectors in France that use critical metals. They discussed the maturity of these sectors in addressing these issues. This presentation fostered discussions and connections between various stakeholders in the sector.
